Solace Showers

Do not do business with Solace Showers or Austin Pope. We signed a contract in March of 2023 and put down a 50% deposit for the job. The work was supposed to start in June. Communication was horrible. We constantly had to reach out to Mr. Pope just to be told the job would have to start in "two more weeks" or "next month." Finally, in October of 2023 we realized we needed an attorney. We won the judgement against Solace Shower and Mr. Pope. Please find a reputable company to do business with. This is not who you want to give your money to.

I posted when our shower was completed but I never posted pictures. I am handicap. This is the most comfortable shower I have ever used. They listened to me and put things where they worked for me! I now can shower by myself in comfort! Thank you again Austin and team! You are one in a million!

Terrible communication and project management overall. Austin and Brittany do not respond to messages or follow through when they say they will. When you do get in touch, they have lots of excuses and very few apologies.

After initially installing the wrong shower door, got it replaced 3 months later with the door I actually ordered, only to discover that it's far too heavy for my 90-year-old mother to slide open and closed, and now there's a metal track that she has to step over to get into the shower. When we were picking the shower components, I had a lengthy discussion with Austin about Mom's mobility issues and the need to keep the shower entry as low as possible. I selected the door from a picture, so of course had no idea how heavy it would be or that it would be a trip hazard. It would have been nice if Austin had been knowledgeable enough to have presented me only door choices that would actually meet my mom's needs so that we could have prevented this mess.

My wife and I have a shower and master bathroom that looks good, but not without a lengthy and frustrating process. I signed a contract for a new 4 X 6 shower to replace an existing one that was leaking and new bathroom tiles in January 2023. Provided deposit for 50% and was told project would start in April and would take approximately 2 weeks plus an additional 3 weeks to get custom glass installed after tiles were laid. At the end of March I was given a start date of 24APR, however no one showed up to begin the tear down nor did I receive communication from Solace Showers despite numerous attempts to reach them at that time. Work finally began on 22MAY and it was worked on in stops and starts. By 07JUL (over 6 weeks after start) the remaining work included measurement of the custom shower glass, drywall and trim repair, shower hardware installation and clean up of grout spills on tile. The project was finally completed on 12SEP although to be fair I was away for 2 weeks at the end of August, early September so it likely would have been completed the last week of August. I would not choose to work with Solace Showers again. The shower and master bathroom look good, the workers that the owner has working for him are good guys and do good work, but the level of frustration constantly chasing and trying to get the work done was not worth it.

Communication is lacking big time - drain color put in my shower was the wrong color. Instead of replacing the owner discounted and spray painted the shower grate. Now I have a stagnant water issue I would like to get resolved. It's been over two weeks since trying to get it fixed. I have called and messaged and been very communicative with Austin but no response. Poor way to handle customer service.

if I could give NO STARS , I would!!! This company is horrible. poor communication, delays over and over, lies ,etc! we were told 10 days max. 7 weeks later with a lot of stress and frustration they finished. $1600 over budget that we were firm about. 2 weeks later a hot water line came loose. Caused MAJOR damage!! contacted Austin immediately- he did NOT offer to come and assist with clean up , he has YET to see the damage (was willing to come a week later while in the area for a funeral). we had to file on our homeowners insurance! so much for the 1 year warranty!! they are crooks! Austin wanted to blame Delta faucets! we had to licensed plumbers come out and confirm installation error!! Don't hire them!
