Fuzzy Faces Refuge, home to Freedom Steps Equine Services, provides Animal Assisted Activities and Therapies (AAAT) by offering PATH Int'l Therapeutic Riding for children and adults with special needs, Horses for Heroes for Veterans and First Responders, as well as partnership with your counseling service. Children, Adults, Veterans and First Responders (such as police, fire fighters, EMT's, etc.) who have experienced life challenges can schedule hands-on therapeutic sessions in a family-friendly farm setting that promotes peace and healing. In addition to offering therapeutic program services, clients and visitors can enjoy picnicking, hiking, fishing and paddle boating on the beautiful 70 acre refuge by appointment. Building confidence, enabling positive progress and affording opportunities that may otherwise be unavailable is what the refuge is all about.
